Ducie Street Warehouse

Ducie Street Warehouse is a Grade II Listed former railway goods store in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Home to an aparthotel by Native with 166 luxury serviced apartments, winner of The Sunday Times Best Hotel in the North of England, Boutique fitness studio BLOK, and from the founders of London’s Bistrotheque a lounge, café, bar, restaurant and 38-seat cinema.

The visual identity was created by our client Modern Designers, and our role was to develop their concepts and produce technical designs including drawings for use in planning applications, prototypes and then production and implementation of the signage.

The project included a large scale set of lettering above the main entrance, designed and finished to integrate within the existing architectural steel work and internally illuminated with LEDs to give a subtle halo behind each letter, as well as a series of vitreous enamelled information and wayfinding signs.
